Footsteps.....

I am often reminded it isn't the destination we need to be so concerned with, but what we do along the way that shapes our soul.

My life has taken so many directions in the past several months, it all leaves me quite perplexed at times.  I have had difficulties at work for the past 6 months.  It finally came to an end with me loosing my job after having some major health issues.  The job situation, and my health still leaves me with more questions than answers.
Since then I have been job searching, with NO luck.  I do not understand why I hear on the news almost daily how Utah has the best economy in the nation, when I can't even get an interview.  I began considering going back to Logan, or moving to Texas, or even the short term getting a summer job in Yellowstone.  As I was looking into all of my options something else caught my eye.  I found a website for seasonal workers.  There was a host of seasonal jobs absolutely everywhere you could imagine.  Yes, including Yellowstone.  The ones that really caught my attention were the jobs in Alaska.  So along with applying for jobs in Utah, Texas, and Yellowstone I applied for jobs in Alaska.  A few days later as I prayed to God, I asked that he would provide me a job, and a job where I can find some peace in my life, and maybe a little adventure as well.  I have just left it to God to direct my life where He knows I need to be.

MT. McKinley Alaska
After only a week I was contacted by not one Utah job, or Texas job, or Yellowstone; But Alaska.  And within 2 weeks I was hired.  Yes, it's a seasonal Job, and I'll likely only be there for 5-6 months.  It is also an adventure of a lifetime.  I will be working, in Denali National Park Alaska; at Mt. McKinley Princess Lodge.  So far from what I have heard I have quite the adventure awaiting me.  Not sure where this path will end up taking me, only God knows that.  I am certain I will have amazing! new experiences, friends and a lifetime of lessons along the way.
