There are times in our life when what we think is important takes up all the space, and the things that truly are important take a back seat. That's what was happening in my life. Things like my job, and my non-existent friendships were sucking all the energy right out of me, but also were the only things I was focusing on.

My family on the other hand was taking a back seat. I knew it was time for a change. I had to shake up my entire existence. I knew I had to find a way to reconnect with my own family.

These children are very important to me, and bring me a lot of joy.

For the past 3 months I have been very intentional with all of my interactions with my children. I feel slowly we are becoming a closer family and connections are becoming more natural. I started with a family picture day in December. We had NOT all been together as a family since jamii's wedding almost 4 years ago. It was so nice just to be together, and have a little fun; I believe a bit of healing happened between some of the kids. There was no anger, and no hurt we all just had fun!

I Love my Kids!!!!
Since December we have have had many opportunities to be together as a family. We spent Christmas together for the first time since all my kids moved out. I have spent some good quality time with each of the boys as well as Jamii and even my son in law Seth. My children all even came down to Salt Lake City to move me into a new apartment; we had a wonderful day. I am hopeful for many more of these days. Time with the ones we love is what's really important!!!
