things i'll miss when I leave Alaska

There are so many things I will miss when I leave Alaska.
I have high hopes to return next year.

I decided I would make a list of all I will miss.

•Fresh air
•Extremely low population density
•Mountains
•Open roads
•Many things about Talkeetna (Ginger cookies at the Roadhouse, locals knowing me by name, walking down to the river, the cool cemetary, browsing the shops, rhubarb treats, lazy carefree days just hanging out.
•Occassional driving the parks highway
•Taking pictures of "The Mountain"
•The cute kids I work with: Emily, Jacob,Taylor, Ryan, Millicent, Heidi, Raleigh, Amanda, Ben and many others.
•Watching tourists; especially when they are all bundled up and we are out with no coat in 45 degree weather.
•Seeing sled dogs roam free around Talkeetna
•Being able to walk around at night without any fear
•The trees, flowers (fireweed), Beaver ponds, Mushrooms, Berries
•The great, local people, who seem much more comfortable being themselves here
•Small-town life
•The extremely long summer days
• Seeing the mountain when its out
•Seeing moose, squirrels, fox, birds, and other cool wildlife
•Great outdoor activities

And so much more.............!
